Entering the Dead City

Greetings wanderers! My name is Aman and I'm quite excited to welcome you to my Warhammer Underworlds blog! Now before I get into what you can expect from this blog, I first wanted to share a bit about myself.

My love for miniature wargaming began when I was 10 years old. I walked into a Games Workshop with a friend of mine and I immediately fell in love with Space Marines (3rd Edition at the time). Since my favorite color was (and still is) red, I picked the Blood Angels and have played them ever since. Over the past 16 years, I have explored many facets of the hobby and have played Warhammer 40K, Warhammer Fantasy (RIP), Horus Heresy, Age of Sigmar, Deathwatch RPG, and Warhammer Underworlds.

After playing in my first tournament, I realized quite early on in my wargaming career that I really enjoyed winning. However, more importantly, I realized I disliked losing even more. Since then, I have always been a competitive, yet respectful player and never once looked back.

Unfortunately, as I grew older, I did not have as much time for the hobby as I would have liked. I got in a couple games here and there but most of my "hobby time" was spent visiting forums and browsing the GW website. However, when Shadespire was announced last year, I gravitated towards the competitive and quick style of gameplay it offered. I immediately fell in love.

Since then, I have played countless games, participated in numerous local events, and even won a couple tournaments too. My goal with this blog is to share the lessons, experiences, and knowledge I have accumulated in order to help players improve their game. I will also be reviewing new releases, writing up battle reports, analyzing warbands, and sharing some of my competitive musings. Whether you are a hardened veteran or an aspiring newcomer, I hope to positively impact you and your hobby.
